I went to University and studied Aerospace Technology, but I also did a lot of voluntary work on the side. I was a member of the royal aeronautical society and volunteered at Heathrow Airport during the Olympic games. I think with my degree and extra activities I was an easy candidate for companies to pick out. I still volunteer now, to help keep my CV boosted. It gives you something extra to talk about in interviews

Well A-levels didn’t feel right for me and my school didn’t provide me with any other options and I wanted to gain experience of the engineering world while learning about it. So, I went searching around the internet for other options and I came across apprenticeships. So I signed up for an STFC apprenticeship and handed my CV in to see what the process was like and what was actually involved with apprenticeships. I then got an email from Oxford Space Systems who saw my CV and wanted to meet me and that’s how I’ve ended up here:DI’m now in my second year out of four training to become a Precision engineer:D
