  I actually went to school in Ireland and did the Irish leaving cert. I didn’t have the right subjects to get into Uni so I did a Science Foundation year to make up for it and then started my degree. I’d say don’t worry too much about what subjects you take, STEM subjects are useful if you want to work in STEM but not essential.
