Overcoming a mental health disorder during my University years is the hardest thing I ever had to do. The University and the NHS were great and gave me lots of support for which I’m very grateful. I know without the help I wouldn’t have graduated and gotten where I am. Never be shy to ask for help!

The hardest thing I’ve had to do was leave friends and family back in India and move to the UK to study.

My life has been a bit of a bumpy road with things! I lost my dad and sister when I was 9 and also lost my house in Ireland so that was one of the biggest challenges of my life. Moving to England was the next hardest thing as the only other family member I have is my mum so we had a few very rough years trying to find houses to live in and jobs for both of use. The hardest thing for me lately though was moving away from my mum when I was 16 and living by myself in the scary world! It was a big leap because I really didn’t know if I’d cope or not! But look at me now! Here all happy and I really couldn’t ask for a better life! Sometimes things need to happen for you to realise the potential you have in life:D

The hardest thing was to walk away from people who I loved that were actually holding me back. Unfortunately, I’ve had to battle against abuse and bullying. I wasn’t bullied at school, but I was in my 20s and its hard realize adults can bully too. I went through counseling which really helped me understand people and how I needed to change myself to move on.
