• Question: what would you do with the money if you win

      I used to do outreach at university where I would visit schools and show how to launch rockets hundreds of metres into the air, or launch balloons that would stay in the atmosphere for months at a time – going all the way round the world. I’d love to do more of the same and help inspire people to follow their imagination and make crazy things.

      I would love to make a transportable engineering club that went to all different types of schools showing the varied world of engineering from the creative designing to the hands on messy building work! As engineering is never explained of the huge world it has, I want to open up peoples mind to the worlds they can work in and make sure they understand the different areas of the exciting world and show the different ways they can get into engineering, from University to apprenticeships:D

      I’d give it to the Spaceflight society at the University I went to. They build model rockets and launch them at local schools to get people excited about space.

      I’d like to organize some form of motivational talks, where women in STEM go and speak in schools

    Sounds amazing. I’m am one of the teachers in our school running STEM club. What you mentioned about outreach work and the activities you do – we would LOVE that and so would many other schools. Good luck.
